Talent & Hobby
I am passionate about exploring and developing my skills outside of academics. Through music, martial arts, and public speaking, I challenge myself, express creativity, and build confidence. Each of these pursuits has shaped my personal growth and allowed me to engage with others in meaningful ways.
Saxophone
I have 8 years of experience playing the saxophone, performing with the BIS Big Band and participating in the school’s saxophone club. I achieved Intermediate Level 2, accredited by Music One Academy, and was featured in a music video showcasing my skills. I also share my performances on my YouTube channel.
Karate
I have practiced karate for 10 years, earning a SanDan Black Belt. I’ve taught karate to children and competed in regional tournaments, which have strengthened my discipline, focus, and athletic skills.
I have developed strong public speaking and non-verbal communication skills, delivering structured presentations and hosting events at BIS, including the Lunar New Year celebration. I also completed a professional communication course with distinction, further enhancing my confidence and presentation abilities.
